Terms of Service

The short version

• We show you how AI tools answer queries about your business, and write pages built for AI to read when you approve them.
• Nobody can guarantee what AI will say. We don’t promise mentions, rankings, citations, traffic or sales.
• Only use Mentioned for a business and website you’re allowed to act for.

Who can use Mentioned

You must be at least 18 and use Mentioned for a business. If you sign up for a business, you confirm that you’re allowed to act for it and that it owns or controls the website you give us.

Your account

You sign in with a link we email you, so keep your email account secure. You’re responsible for what happens in your Mentioned account. Tell us at hello@meetmentioned.com if you think someone else has used it.

Plans and payment

The free scan costs nothing. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance, in US dollars, at the prices on our pricing page. You can cancel any time. Your plan then stays active until the end of the month you’ve paid for. Except where the law requires, payments are not refundable. If we change a price, we’ll tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to you.

No guarantees about AI

AI tools are run by other companies, and their answers change from one ask to the next. The answers we show you are collected through these companies’ services and approximate what people see in their apps. We can’t control what any AI tool says, and we don’t guarantee that a page, a fix or anything else we suggest will lead to a mention, a citation, a ranking, more visitors or more sales.

Your content and your AI pages

• You own the facts and content you give us, and the AI pages we write for you.
• You’re responsible for checking that the facts you approve are true and that you’re allowed to publish them. We publish an AI page only after you approve it.
• You give us permission to use your content to run Mentioned for you, including hosting and publishing your approved AI pages on your subdomain.
• You can take an AI page down at any time. If you close your account, we stop serving your AI pages, and you can remove the DNS record you added.
• We may use information combined across customers, with no business or person identified, to improve Mentioned.

Fair use

Please don’t use Mentioned to:

• scan or publish pages for a business or website you aren’t allowed to act for;
• publish false or misleading claims, including about other businesses;
• break the law or anyone else’s rights;
• overload, attack, copy or resell the service, or get around its limits.

We may suspend or close an account that does, and we’ll tell you why unless the law prevents it.

Our service

We work to keep Mentioned running and accurate, but it’s provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties not written in these terms, including that the service is fit for a particular purpose or free of errors.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, Mentioned isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost revenue or lost data. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if that is more.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Mentioned and close your account at any time. We may end these terms if you seriously break them, or if we stop offering Mentioned, in which case we’ll give you reasonable notice and refund any unused prepaid time.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States. Any dispute will be handled by the courts there, unless the law where you are gives you the right to bring it locally.

Changes

If we change these terms, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change matters, we’ll tell account holders by email at least 30 days before it takes effect.
