Who we are

Mentioned (“we”, “us”) shows small businesses how they appear in answers from AI tools, and writes pages built for AI to read. This policy covers this website, meetmentioned.com, and the Mentioned service. Questions about it go to hello@meetmentioned.com.

What we collect

• Your email address, when you join the waitlist or sign in. We use it to tell you when Mentioned opens, to send your sign-in links, and to send the updates you ask for, such as the weekly digest.
• Your business website, when you start a scan. We read up to 25 of its public pages and follow your robots.txt.
• What you tell us about your business: the facts you approve, the queries you keep, and the competitors you track.
• The AI answers we collect for your queries, and the pages we write and you approve.
• Visits to your AI pages from known AI crawlers: which crawler, which page, and whether the visit was verified. This is how we show you which AI tools read your pages.
• Technical information your browser sends to any website, such as your IP address and browser type. It is used to deliver and protect the site and to find and fix errors.

Mentioned is for businesses. Please don’t give us sensitive personal information, such as health or financial details, in your facts or queries.

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
• We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies on this website.
• We don’t read pages on your website that your robots.txt tells us to skip.

Who helps us run Mentioned

We use a small number of service providers. Each one gets only what it needs to do its job.

• Cloudflare hosts this website and the waitlist, and serves your AI pages on your subdomain.
• Google Fonts supplies the typeface on this website, so your browser asks Google for it.
• OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and Meta answer the queries we send them. We send the query and what is needed to ask it, not your email address.
• Resend sends our emails, such as sign-in links.
• Sentry receives error reports, so we can find and fix problems.
• A payment processor will handle payments when paid plans open. We won’t store your card number.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people or our service, or as part of a sale or merger of our business, in which case this policy would still apply to it.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist addresses until Mentioned opens or until you ask us to remove yours. We keep account information while your account is open. When you close your account, we delete it, except for anything we have to keep by law, such as billing records.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you emails. Write to hello@meetmentioned.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Mentioned is a service for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change matters, we’ll tell account holders by email before it takes effect.
